Lila Rogers Global Talent Search!
Hi everyone. When I opened my email today, I saw that the Lila Rogers Studio is doing a Global Talent Search Contest. You can win representation for 2 years!! I would really love that, but even if I don't win, I can still get some good portfolio pieces out of this. Plus a critique on my artwork.

Jane Austen Comic Books!?
Yes, there really are Jane Austen comic books! I was at the comic book store with my daughter, getting her a couple of comics when, to my amazement, I spotted these adaptations of Pride and Prejudice and Emma.
This cover of Pride and Prejudice really made me laugh with all it's captions:
"Who is Mr. Darcy?"
"Bingleys bring bling to Britain"
"How to cure your boy-crazy sisters!"
"17 secrets about summer dresses"
"Lizzy on love, loss, and living"
The cover is fun on the Pride and Prejudice book, but I think the artwork of the Emma book is a little more in keeping with the feel of Jane Austen. The writer who did the adaptation is Nancy Butler and the artist for Emma is Janet K. Lee,
Just another fun way to enjoy Jane Austen!

Quick And Easy Marshmallow And Gum Drop Flower Cake Decoration!
To make the flowers place a gum drop on the cake as the "center" of a flower then just cut the mini marshmallows diagonally and place around the gum drop to make the "petals" of the flower. I cut the bottom off my gum drops to make them sit a little lower on the cake to match the height of the petals, but that step is not necessary. Place as many or as few flowers on your cake as you want and you are done! Quick, easy and so cute!

Decorate Your Dresser With Chanel!
Hello everyone. I just wanted to share a photo that one of my customers sent me from New Zealand. The lovely Belinda decided to treat herself for her birthday. I'm so glad she chose to do her shopping in my Etsy shop.
Belinda has decorated her dresser with my Pink Chanel Purse Print and my Coco Chanel Perfume Bottle Print. She did a lovely job matting and framing them. I hear even her hubby likes them!
Well, Happy Birthday Belinda, and thank you for sending me the photo. I love to see how my art is used to decorate the homes of my customers.

You can send these as an all occasion note. They are also great for party invitations or thank you cards. And of course, each is taken from one of my original watercolors :)
This flat notecard set features the Coco Chanel saying "A girl should be two things, classy & fabulous" and the image of a pink Chanel quilted purse.
These Breakfast at Tiffany's cards are great if you are going to be Holly Golightly and throw a fantastic party!
